Hi
A friend of mine who is an Indian passport holder, is booked for a cruise in end of August. This cruise reenters Canada 2-3 times from US land/water. She urgently wants to know if a single entry visa would suffice as she has heard that it could provided the 2nd entry is not from non US international waters. Can someone verify this or point me towards some reputable source please.
Thanks a lot!

Sorry, I need to explain it better ( apologies just got hit by her email) :
So firstly Indian passport holder. Secondly she is headed to US as the starting point of her cruise but via Vancouver which makes a transit visa essential.
Secondly, she is then taking the cruise from Seattle which will enter Canada 2-3 times and hence definitely needs a tourist visa for this.
However as long as she hasnt been anywhere else but US she can survive on a single visa for her multiple entries into Canada within the stipulated time the approval has.
So the question is -if she gets a single entry tourist visa for Canada will this cover her for both the initial transit and then the multiple cruise entries as long as she has only been in US soil/water in this timeframe?
Thanks
I don't know anything about Canadian visas, and this is a rather complex question, but I'd recommend she contact immigration officials in Canada to make certain what the answer is. There should be no passport control after the first entry into Canada (I think), but if she requires a transit visa, this may be considered a multiple entry.
This isn't a highly-trafficked forum. You might want to post on the Canada forum and see if a Canadian (or even better an Indian national in Canada) can give you the answer you seek. But I wouldn't put this to chance. It's definitely a question that needs an answer, and this isn't happening so far into the future that you can think about it very long.
The question I would ask is she visiting US or a green card holder as it would make a difference. I would worry less about Canada than being refused entry into the US at Seattle!
