I am planning on taking a cruise in May 2012 but cannot decide whether to go on the RCI Adventure of the Seas Western Med or whether I should take a cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. Any suggestions ? Anyone ever done this as a single traveler ? Thanks.

These are so different it's hard to make any recommendations. However, I think it's worth exploring the Fjords cruise because I believe that Hurtigruten doesn't charge a single supplement for all their cabins (or at least they have some single cabins). This would be a very different kind of experience than a traditional cruise, however, so keep that in mind. The big ships also cruise the Norwegian coast over the summer, but you get a more authentic experience on a Hurtigruten cruise.
