Hey guys,
I got 10 days for Italy mid of May.
I only need half day in Pisa to see Leaning tower, average 1.5 days for Florence, Venice & Milan. I know the itinerary is rushed but I am ready for it. Thus the trip planning is very crucial for me now. Really appreciated any one can advise on the route trip and how to travel from each point to another with the faster way (by train or by flight). Sometimes I wish I can fly …. Hehehehe.
I yet to book any flight back to Paris on Day 10. If there is really a need then I have no choice to drop Milan.
1) Day 1 – Reach Rome Fiumicino Airport at 2:30pm. (Ticket booked)
2) Day 2 to Day 4 – Rome / Vatican Day
3) Day 5 – Afternoon leaving to Florence
4) Day 6 – Florence / Pisa / Florence
5) Day 7 – Afternoon leaving to Venice
6) Day 8 – Venice
7) Day 9 – Morning, leaving to Milan
8) Day 10 – Morning leaving to Paris
Thanks!
Lingie

I look into my crystal ball and predict that everyone here is going to say you are trying to see too many places, but it's your trip and your business.
It's fairly obvious that train travel is the way to go.
Day 5: You are going to leave Rome in the afternoon and go to Florence. That means you will have only that evening in Florence for dinner, by the time you check into your hotel.
Day 6: "Florence/Pisa/Florence." Actually, Day 6 should read just "Pisa." You won't have much time to see anything in Florence. As a matter of fact, if Pisa is a priority, I don't understand why you are going to Florence at all.
One day in Venice? Plan it carefully so that you see the major sights. You won't have time to wander.
Good luck.
I fear you are somewhat confused.
The way you have it scheduled you have:
Florence - two 1/2 days (1/2 of Days 6 & 7)
Venice - 1 day (Day 8)
Milan - 1/2 day (Day 9)
Obviously train is the way to go between these cities - flying would take much longer - given all the time to and fro airports, waiting for check in and security lines etc.
If the rest of you trip is like this you really need to look at how much time you have where.
If it were me I would kill Milan and fly from Venice to Paris - giving you more time in one or the other (although I suspect you can use it in both).
