My husband and I have a trip we are planning at the end of April. We will be flying into Brussels Belgium and would like to get on a train and travel to a couple of other locations. Have any advice?

I'm sure sure why you're flying into Brussels just to leave it again and go some place else. It would be more reasonable to fly into the place you want to visit rather than spend time on a train getting there.
Get a map, a train timetable, and do some more research.
Bruges is an obvious choice.
Amsterdam too.
Bruges and Paris ~~or~~ Bruges and Amsterdam.
Bruges and Paris.
Amsterdam and Paris.

Since there are literally hundreds of options - where do YOU want to go? Where have you been before? Why did you choose Brussels? What sorts of things are you looking for/enjoy doing?
Give us something to work with . . .
My Daughter is currently living in Brussels and we will be meeting up with her. I have found many day trips out of Brussels to surrounding areas including Bruges and Ghent and Luxembourg and Amsterdam. We were thinking of staying in Brussels for a few days and seeing the sights on some day tours. Then go to Paris for the weekend and return to Brussels before we leave.
