I am beginning to look for a travel opportunity for my BF and myself to go on a vacation, let me tell you a "dream vacation" to go and see the backlands of France! There is nothing more that I would give to experience this situation! Also I would love for me and my friends family to see the olympics this year! I love them ~ Mary-Kate.

Mary Kate Olsen?
Sweetie, the Olympics are in London--that is in the UK, not France nor Monoco.
Maybe a vacation at Betty Ford?

I think Monaco will be surprised to find itself referred to as the "backlands of France" not in the least because it is a separate country. Seriously, it is hard to respond to your post - are you planning the Olympics OR France or you really want to do both? I would think its a bit late to plan for the Olympics.
Is this a joke? The Olympics are in London, and you're way too late to make plans for that (you should have "just begun to look for that opportunity" about a year ago). Monaco is a different country from France (and would never, ever be referred to as the backlands of anything). How are we supposed to figure out what the heck you're looking for?
<<There is nothing more that I would give to experience this situation!>>
What does that mean? What "situation"?
Have no idea what you mean by "backlands". Monaco is a very small and extremely rich and expensive country consisting of a very large rock with an expensive caste and a sizable harbor with the most expensive yachts in the world. Go here only if you are very wealthy or want to watch the uber wealthy spend money in the most exclusive designer shops or the over the top casino.
Also - Olympics has nothing to do with France.
When do you plan to go, how much time do you have, what are your interests (do you mean "backlands" as in camping out in the countryside - than which I can imagine nothing less romantic) - or do you want to see cities, castles, historic sights etc?
I realize that this is your first post here - but you really do have to know SOMETHING and ask a sensible question.

Well it looks like this very confused person isn;t coming back'
May I suggest that if you are looking for a romantic vacation to see the "backlands" of France that you choose a region which has quaint, charming villages and beautiful landscapes and some châteaux. You should consider renting a car so you can explore the countryside and as for regions to visit I think you should look at the Loire, Provence, Burgundy or the Dordogne. It is quite easy to find accommodation in châteaux and perhaps that would be a very romantic place to spend your nights.
You should go to your library and get some guidebooks about France and learn about these places and what there is to see and do. As others have said, forget Monaco.
