Hello, my husband and I will be travelling to Nice in September for our honeymoon and are looking to rent an apartment for the week. Right now we've narrowed down our choices to three apartments and I was wondering if anyone would mind giving me input on their locations?

As it is our first visit to Nice, we'd like to be within decent walking distance to the old town, the sea, and the main train station, and would also like good access to restaurants/boulangeries/market or groceries. Am I looking in the right neighbourhood, or should I be looking in the old town?
Thanks very much in advance for your advice.

I looked at all three quickly,, think # 2 on Place Massena is the best location by far for what you want.
The train station would be a walk for me but a quick bus ride.
The third one only has a murphy bed or convertibles which can be fine or uncomfortable and a hassle. I like having a closed off sleeping area where I can leave things out if I want.

Having been to Nice several times and also planned my stepsons honeymoon there a couple of years ago, I would suggest staying in the Old Town. It is centrally located...very close to the beach and transportation ( you can take the bus for one Euro to Villefranche, St Paul de Vence, etc) and has so much charm. If possible, I would really recommend that area and then a secondary choice would be the Carre D'or neighborhood.
