Ok - after a lot of research, I have narrowed down our hotel choices to these two:
-Hotel Residence Agnes
-Archibald At the Charles Bridge
Both are centrally located and we can walk to the sites and they both have excellent reviews through TA. If you have said at either of these, which one would you chose over the other?

I not stayed in either but have eaten in the Archibald's resturant many times, the location of that hotel is far superior and in my opinion is one of best in the city, on the river on Kampa island a peaceful haven right in the heart of the city and only a half minutes walk from Charles bridge.
thank you! That is the majority of the response I am receiving - I was just a little nervous because it seems like it is somewhat outside of the main area and I prefer to walk over taking the train, cab etc.
I seen you had asked this on TA but decided to answer here. The Archibald is really in a lovely spot, you are maybe 400 yards or so from a tram line but it is no big deal, lots of nearby bars and resturants and as I have said I have used the hotel resturant many times, I like it in the winter when it has the log burners going but in the summer you can sit outside on the banks of the river, quite lovely
Thank you for the response! (I always use both Fodors & TA for my travel questions - it's surprising how slow some forums are for certain cities on TA)I decided to book the Archibald & I'm very pleased with the location. I like that everything is close without the city noise.
