Hey everyone. I'm looking to get away for the first and second week of May to a seaside locale. I'm not a resort traveler - I usually backpack - but I am feeling the need to escape to a beach somewhere. Warm is a must. And ideally there would be a town/city near by where I could head in just for something to do, and long, QUIET beaches to muse and walk along.
Very vague, I know...Any ideas?

Early May might not be terribly warm-beachy in a lot of places. But Greece, southern Spain, Turkey, some of the islands would be great that time of year.
Early May---I would consider the Algarve.
