Greetings. Does anyone know if airlines still give bereavement airfares (to attend family funeral, for example)? If so, how does one make that happen? thanks.

Each airline has their own policy. You have to call. Some have a list of what they consider family. You will have to provide some proof. They are often more expensive than fares you can find online.
Bereavement fares are a thing of the past. Depending on the airline, and if there's a seat, you may get upgraded to first class. I've never been asked for documentation, but things may have changed since last time.
