Buying a Ukrainian SIM card

I am planning to go to Ukraine in the near future and I got some friends there. All of them are on the carrier called Life. I found a site that offers Life Sim cards for sale. But the fee is 25 euro, which is kinda like a rip off:

On this page http://www.poltavatravel.com/articles/calling-in-ukraine/ they say that I can easily buy a SIm card for any mobile operator once I land Borispol airport in Kiev. Is this true? Are SIM cards sold in KBP? Do they cost less than 25 euro?
