Czech Republic Travel suggestions

I am planning a trip to the Czech Republic in September 2013. My cousin wants to start our trip in Vienna as it is someplace she wants to see. My plan is to spend 2 days in Vienna then take a train to into the Czech Republic. I have visited Prague, Cesky Krumlov, Mikoluv, Pilsen, and Karlovy Vary. I would like to travel the north part of the country since we did a southern loop the last time. The reason I want to take a train into CZ is so that I don't have to pay the extra fees if I rent a car in Austria and take it out of the country.

I will have 10 days total so after leaving Vienna, that leaves 8 days. I would like to visit a town in the north with mountain views and am thinking that if I take a train to Brno and rent a car we would travel north. Does anyone have a suggestion for towns that have great views and historical architecture?

I plan to leave for home in the US from Prague and would like to spend 3-4 days in Prague, so that would give me 5 days to visit another town or 2. We like history, museums, architecture and sightseeing. We are in our late 50's and don't want to go hiking or mountain climbing just want to enjoy the mountain views.
