we're thinking of heading to Butrint, Gjirokaster and Sarande once arriving in Igoumenitsa, Greece. does anyone know if its possible to do a 1 - 2 day trip into these places? is it possible by bus?

I can't really answer your question, but I did a daytrip by boat from Corfu to Sarande & Butrint. There was an article in the NY Times awhile back:

I was struck by the area's poverty and also it's undeveloped, rugged beauty.
