Any good glacier walks between Berlin and Hamburg? What time or year is open and safe to walk? I only want to do a beginners 2 hour walk.

....there are no mountains between Berlin and Hamburg. By the way, I wonder if there are glacier walks at all in Germany. Even Garmisch looks too low.
The latest ice age ended about 11.000 years ago, since then there have been no glaciers in Northern Germany.
You may want to recheck your geography.
There are a handful of (small) glaciers around the highest peaks of the Bavarian Alps (Zugspitze, Watzmann, Blaueis near Ramsau) at the opposite end of the country - that's all we have.
The Bavarian Alps is definitely worth a visit, you get beautiful views of the snow capped mountains. I don't know if possible, or how safe it is to climb, but the whole region is stunning. If you have the chance, stay at the Best Western Obermühle (http://www.hotel-obermuehle.de) It's a great place with all the services you might need (panoramic pool, wellness etc) right at the foot of Zugspitze.
