we favor Ibsen's...pleasant walk everywhere. Plenty of restos nearby. Good restaurant within. Large rooms and bathrooms. Managed and owned by women at one time..may still be true.
What is mid-range to you? $100, $200, $300 a night?
We like the Admiral on the water, just beyond Nyhavn.
Admiral is very nice, the Square is central, Marriott is also good, depends on budget, however almost everything is on the expensive side in Copenhagen. The Hotel D'Angleterre should be re-opening in the spring, might be some opening offers but this was always an expensive hotel anyway.
Using Priceline for a room at the Marriott would be my first choice. You should be able to get rooms for around $100.
I used the Hotel Christrian IV for 4 days prior to a cruise. The location was nice, breakfast included and room was fine (smallish, but the price was right!)
I have stayed at Hotel The Square, and will be there again this coming September. I like the location and the hotel is modern. It is an easy walk to Tivoli Gardens and the train station.
