We are planning a 2nd trip to Iceland before a cruise departs from Reykjavik. We have done the Golden Circle, Thorsmork, Snæfellsnes Peninsula on a previous trip.
My plan is to stay near Skogar/Vik the first night, drive to Skaftafell and stay two nights, then drive to Seyoisfjordur, stay 2 nights to explore east Iceland and fly back from Egilisstadir to Reykjavik the daybefore our cruise departs.
I wonder if anyone has driven from Skaftafell to Seyoisfjordur in one day? Too ambitious? If so, where would you stop?
Thanks!

Hi,
Distance is 409 km and yes you can drive this in one day but it will take you 5-6 hour driving. I dont include time for seeking.
There is shorter way if you go Oxi but you need jeep or at least 4wd.
Many good tip here:
