Going to istanbul for 2 days in Feb. Anybody know of some of the off beaten historical Roman ruins that I should visit that most people dont see? I'm a history buff . thanks

Not totally Roman, the most fascinating sight to me in Istanbul is the Basilica Cistern.
A very prominent but usually missed structure is the Aya Irini Church, between the first court of Topkapi Palace and the Archeology Museum, behind Aya Sofya.
the archeology museum should not be missed, not only for its Ionian and Roman but also Hittite displays. I also heartily recommend The Museum of Ancient Civilizations, the smaller building just before the Archeological museum.
If you are allowed try to see the digs for the Byzantine palace and Yenikapi harbour.

Very good museums! And (sadly) neglected by many tourists.
Aquaducts ! can be interesting too.....Archeological Museum is awesome and needs at least over half a day if not a full day....

The Byzantines were Romans, so the best remaining Roman artifacts by far are the frescoes the Chora Church. There is a big piece of the old walls very near, as well.
