When we leave Berchtesgaden I'd like to stop for a 2 night stay somewhere charming in Austria.
Our next stop after the 2night/Austria stay would be Garmisch Partenkirchen.
Looking for a Village/small town and some easy walks/hikes or a scenic or alpine road close by. We wouldn't have to stay in the village/small town, outskirts fine. Just need some suggestions to research!
Looking for a stopover for 2 nights, Hall in Tirol? Alpbach?

Sort of a radical idea, but -
south on the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse to Heiligenstadt for your alpine village or continue down to Lienz, which is wonderful. Then cross into Italy and up to Garmisch via the Brenner Pass.
Depends on when you are going though. The Grossglocknerstrasse is closed from about November until about May.
Igls. Easy walks, and fast bus or tram access to Innsbruck.
I like the idea of Igls or Innsbruck. Pretty.
Lavandula
I voted for Igls, my husband voted for Heiligenblut.

My husband won
Hoping we can book at Hotel Senger where we stayed last time, it was lovely.
Robertino, Brenner Pass is marked as E45/A22?
THANKS!
