Hello,
We are a party of four traveling in March from Munich to Prague. We land in Munich very early on the 11th of March and will need to go straight to Prague. Any suggestions on the best route/options? We have already checked into a company called www.studentagency.eu but their 1 bus a day is very late in the day for us. We are looking into options for the bahn but are very confused how to get from the airport in Munich to the 'Dejvicka' metro station in Prague that is the closest to our stay. Any detailed help would be appreciated. Also, any suggestions of how to get back to Munich on the 14th of March would be helpful as well.

Use the German rail site bahn.com to plan travel and buy tickets from Munich to Prague. Seems you have a choice of buses or train.
A google search found this site for details of transport in Prague
http://czech-transport.com/index.php?id=37
Yeah we looked into Bahn but i am hoping someone can help me navigate the site. Its a bit confusing and if you don't know the exact stations you get lost lol. For the czech transport link we were told they are a broker of some kind and over charge.
You could consider using www.eurolines.com for your return to Munich, as I think it is faster.[5 hours]
Munich to Prague there is a 7am bus, but that may to too early.
But you did say very early, so perhaps you can make the early bus.
Info for both cities. www.inyourpocket.com/germany/munich www.inyourpocket.com/czech-republic/prague
There are several options now, by different bus and rail companies:
both probably a bit too early.

In addition, DB Bus has four daily direct services to Prague, two of them calling at Munich airport.
This may be the most convenient solution for yet, but probably connected with a longer wait at the airport.
The "earliest" bus calling a Munich airport is at 13:25 (1:25pm). The only other is even later at 16:25 (4:25pm).
The other, earlier two services go non-stop Munich-Prague, and leave from Munich Central (train) station (NOT the Central Bus terminal downtown) at 7.50am and 9.45am.
From the airport you get to the central train station downtown in appr. 45mins by suburban train every 10mins from Munich airport.

Sorry, haven't found an English translation of the flyer yet.
As DB bus is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn (German Rail), you can book the bus tickets via bahn.com website. The bus connections will appear on any itinerary inquiry as well as the rail connections. And you can also buy the bus tickets online that way.
Eurolines would be perfect but the times do not work because our flight lands at 6am
Any other options?
@cowboy1968 The one that calls at 13:25..what option is that from? Sorry for so many questions but I have been searching for weeks on options and at my wits end lol.
Funny, the 13:25 bus is in the pdf folder but does not materialize in the online booking website bahn.com
But with a 6am arrival, you can easily go by rail to Munich Central station.
Catch the 9.45am nonstop bus to Prague.
You will get the latter connection on bahn.com
1. Enter Munich as your starting point (the system will offer you as first option "Munich (München)", which you will choose).
2. As destination, just enter Prague (and pick PRAGUE in capital letters from the offered options).
3. Tick "Return journey"
4. Choose date and time for outbound and return trip.
5. Leave box ticked at "prefer fast connections"
6. Set number of travelers to "4"
7. Leave "reduction" pull-down menu as it is "no reduction"
8. Leave box ticked at "2nd class"
9. Hit "Search"
If necessary, scroll up and down the given options until you find the 9.50am BUS.
The price should say €116.
Hit "-> Return journey".
Add the return trip same way.
(the 7.10am service from Prague does call at Munich Airport, if that is relevant for your return trip)
Hit "Purchase".
The total should be €232 (for all four of you together).
Finally you will be prompted to enter the age of each traveler.
Hit the "Refresh" button.
The next page will show you the connection you have chosen.
And the option to
a) buy the discount ticket at €232 or
b) buy the non-restricted tickets for €516.80
The discount fare is only good for the bus services you have chosen. But with an almost 4hour connection, it would be enough safety buffer time for me. But YMMV.
If you decided on one option, you will be taken through the booking and payment procedure.
