We always stay at the Hotel Windsor on Rue Dalpozzo. Ask for a room facing the garden.
Stu Dudley
How much do you want to spend? Is a single room big enough?
will spend 100-120 euro per night.do not mind as long as it is nice place.

I went to booking.com, picked a date in June and put in your criteria. All of the following score well and are close to Vieux Nice. The Hotel Verdun has a single for 78 euros per night, a double for 88 euros. And there's the Hotel Rex, with a double for 91 euros. And the Hotel Crillon Centre Nice at 112 for a single, 121 for a double.
You can do this yourself, picking your actual dates and checking the locations on the map. You don't have to book through the booking.com website, but all the reviews are from people who actually stayed at that hotel. Compare the hotels on your shortlist with the reviews at tripadvisor.com.
Nice is a lovely city, with lots to do and see. And it's a good center for exploring the area by public transportation. You'll have a lovely visit.
I have often stayed at Hotel Windsor, as StuDudley mentions above, probably my favorite hotel in Nice. I enjoy its location and ambience. And twice I have been awakened during the night by nightingales singing in the garden. Magic!
