Could anyone recommend a property rental company in Palma - preferably with a website - that isn't aimed at the holiday market. I'd like to do some research on renting a place in Palma (6 months).
Palma, Mallorca. Property rental company

Kuhn and Partners are huge and professional.
Also look at Pollensa not Puerto Pollensa, there is a large international community there, Baeleric Properties are a good company in that town.
To find then smaller agencies with more local type rentals simply google " inmobiliaria Mallorca", many Mallorquins speak English as the island has serviced the English tourist trade for 50 years.
Here is a good example.
http://www.balearic-properties.com/en/rental/RENT3175L/traditional-townhouse-pollensa
It is small but in the centre of town, lots of Spanish families but also many international residents. It also has an outdoor area which is unusual for the centre of town.
Pollensa is busy most of the year and has a lovely central square.
The very worst apartments in the very worst areas in Britain are e500 a month and so the price seems pretty good.
Dickie,
This is excellent, both the recommendations for the agencies and an alternative town. It is good to see what's available for so little - and yes you're right - rents/bills etc in UK are much more and I could go a few hundred a month more. Have you ever been to Soller? I haven't but like what I've read about the place and the train connection back to Palma.
Soller is lovely and he's the train is something out of the 1950s.
There is a nice valley going up to Fornalutx.
Again plenty of agents, most of them deal with short term, long term lets and sales. As sales and short term lets have dipped them have developed the lower return long term let market. Owners are just happy to get some money in.
Sorry "there's a train" .
This iPad is very dirty.
I've gone through both the sites and hope one day to be able to make use of Kuhn and Partners as some of their properties are stunning. I'm coming back to townhouse in Pollensa - dismissed it initially thinking I'd spend up to twice that and get something great but it's mostly apts in blocks. There is one even cheaper with an additional room on the same page. The more I think about it the more I think this is a great find - thankyou.
