We are 3 girlfriends, in our late 50's and trying to figure out what to do on a Monday night in Paris in late May. We will be having lunch at 1p.m. at a very special spot that will likely take 3 hours and so we are not interested in dealing with another big meal at dinner that night. So we really have the evening free but we can not figure out what we should do. We have all been to Paris before, several times, but this is just a girls trip. Any special tours, spots for a dessert and a drink? This will be at the end of a 2 week trip, Provence and Paris, and we are not sure we will have this opportunity to travel to Paris again, without husbands! Thank you!

How about a nighttime cruise on the Seine?
- Ditto the Seine cruise.
- You can stroll though the Luxembourg Gardens until 15 minutes before dusk.
- Choose a neighborhood to walk around such as the Marais, Montmartre, St-Germain.
- Segway night tour.

- Schedule a few hours with a Paris Greeter

Paris is the City of Light and it is all lit up at night. Just walking around with no particular destination is a treat.
Fat Tire Paris by Night tour, very fun, very easy ( I am closer to you in age then further), it includes a night cruise too.
Au Lapin Agile.
I would schedule a performance of some sort, I think. I like to do special lunches on days when we plan to attend a performance in the evening.
We looked into getting tickets for the ballet at the opera house but the website said that they were sold out. I will look into Fat Tire and we are thinking of the cruise on the Seine. Many years ago, 13 years actually, I did take a cruise on a small boat, where we sat outside on the deck with drinks and they went under all the bridges explaining the history of the bridges. It left from Pont Neuf in the evening. Anyone have any thoughts on that? Thank you again.
<< It left from Pont Neuf >>
That's the one! It's called Vedettes du Pont Neuf. It's not only about the bridges.
You can get a discount coupon on line or pre-pay your tickets for a further discount. However I never buy the tickets ahead as you don't know what the weather will be.
Also agree about Vedettes du Pont Neuf (I love it) and perhaps after that, take the metro to the Trocadero and walk out, turn left around the building and take in the twinkling of the Eiffel Tower
(It starts around 9 or 10 depending on the time of year)
Many options:
Night Seine cruise
Visit one of the museums open at night - Pompidou
A performance - check what ballet, opera, concert will be taking place
Film festival - they happen often in Paris - around specific theme, director, actors, etc (we say a triple play of Marx Brothers movies on the left bank that was incredible)
Taxi tour of lighted monuments
A concert at saint-chapelle.
