We are planning to travel by rail from Munich to Zurich, stay in Zurich three nights with possible day train trip to Lucerne and then travel from Zurich to the very tip of Italy--Reggio Calabria Centrale Station. We want to travel by fast train for as much of the trip from Zurich to tip of Italy as possible. All travel1st class if possible. My question is what rail lines should I buy the tickets and is there a super saver ticket that we can get to over all of this rail travel?
Really appreciate any information.

The German Rail Site is Bahn.com. I'm pretty sure you can do all your planning on this one site. The last time I used it I discovered you can buy tickets within Germany 92 days in advance but if you cross boarders it's 60 days in advance.
You will need to buy tickets from each countries website. Most international tickets require picking up in the departure country.
Zurich to Reggio would take 13+ hours by train with multiple changes. I would look at flights.
