I really want to do a trip to the fjords but I am wondering if it is too ambitious to go with a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old at the time?? Are there activities to do in Bergen for this age group & a way of seeing the fjords that are family friendly? Also, any thoughts on time of year to visit? I hear summer is best.... thanks!

Don't know what activities you can have for a 6 month old - anyplace. For the 2.5 - as long as they have access to a a playground and room to run around - they will be mildly amused by boats and trains - but don;t assume they will ooh and aah over fjords for more than a few minutes.
Traveling with kids that age you need to follow their schedule and have with you lots of things for them to do - one parent amusing them and the other seeing the scenery.
