Hi all,
I am looking to book a hotel for 3 nights of our honeymoon in June - we have 2 weeks in Italy and planning to start with 3 nights in Venice.
Looking for a hotel for no more than approx £200 per night. I know Venice hotels are pretty pricey and £200 might normally get you a 'luxury' hotel but I don't image it will in Venice so that is why I stated mid-range.
Thanks, Adam

We stayed at Ca Centopietre in August 2011 and it was a mid-range central hotel. The owner Marco was very hospitable and the hotel was very clean.

You'll get a good idea of what's available in your price range if you go to venere.com and type in Venice and your dates. See what matches your criteria, then come back here with questions about specific hotels. Once you've decided on a hotel, you can either book through Venere or the hotel's website.
On our last trip to Venice, we stayed at Ca Bragadin Caraba. The location is centralthe but quiet and it was easy to get to anywhere else. The staff was very helpful with our lost luggage. We had a room overlooking a quiet campo, and instead of a full breakfast in their breakfast area, we opted for continental breakfast in our room, complete with people-watching outside our window.
I don't think 200 pounds will get you a luxury hotel anywhere in Italy - any more than it would in London. But there should be a number of pleasant properties available for that amount.
Agree to try venere.com. Also have a look at Kayak.com. It looks like the Hilton Molino Stucky might not be far from your budget - but they have a bunch of other options.
