Any way to edit new photos posted to profile?

I'm trying to post a new photo to my profile. I've tried a few times using different photos, all reduced to usable sizes. Problem is, when the photo shows on the page, it's cropped all funny; doesn't look like the one I posted...off center, etc.

Any way around this, or am I stuck with my original photo?
