Looking for some helpful advice on a destination wedding in Costa Rica. Venues etc.
Would like to have a beach wedding with aprox 20 to 30 friends and family. Prefer a smaller more intimate surrounding with a bit more upscale atmospher. Any recommendations would be helpful.

We were invited to the wedding by a friend, who married on the beach at the hotel La Dolce Vita, Esterillos Oeste, Parrita, Puntarenas. As far as I can remember, he rented the entire hotel: seven small apartments on the beach, each apartment was for 2+1 person. Ciao Paolo
There are a few factors that would affect the best location for you - a main factor being what time of year you want to be married, as that can affect the best location for weather, etc.. With that size party I would definitely recommend a boutique hotel where the group could take over the entire place and receive personal, friendly service from the staff (rather than being lost in a sprawling all inclusive resort). Fortunately it sounds like that's where your interests lie anyway and Costa Rica has many intimate boutique hotels perfect for your group!
