Every few days I see another (often scantily clad) photo of a woman from Peru who is shilling for a travel agency or hotel in Cusco in the Featured Members section (where you feature photos of two "members')
I would think that you would edit the new members' profiles and photos before you allow them to "join."
What will we see next: Russian women seeking husbands from the US? (Yesterday we did have a Russian escort post on the Europe board, but no photo yet!) Minors from the UAE seeking jockey positions in England?
DOES ANYONE EDIT THE FEATURED MEMBERS appearing on the forum home page?

You would think that someone at Fodor's is watching photos and featured members, wouldn't you? I think they depend on us to report inappropriate stuff.
I have seen the Cusco "ladies" often on the featured members. Click the triangle and they are usually removed. The Russian woman was removed as well.
They usually are removed w/i a short time of registering. These 'ladies' have been registering and posting for ages. As soon as the editors find them, they are nuked.
If you see one of these type of profiles, click the 'triangle of death'.
But I do agree, having one of them show up as a 'Featured Member' indicates the choice is automated somehow and not selected by a real set of eyes.

I'm sorry that I didn't respond to this earlier. The Featured Members portion of our site is automated. We are doing our best to prevent spammers like the ones you mentioned above from appearing in this space. As Janis mentioned, if you find any profiles that you find questionable, please alert us by using the triangle icon. This is the quickest way to get this removed.
The line-up on the left column is showing old posts, like this one. I posted on something in the left column, Dear Editor's, that was an early 2011 post.
Your automated system will eventually feature Itweettrice, I guess. His photo is of his torso, with a focus on his left nippple. EGAD! What will new visitors to the page think of that?
