My new monitor has a rectangular screen, and I can't figure out how to adjust so that the Fodors page takes up the entire screen. Right now, the page is centered in the screen, with 5 inches of blank white space on the left and right of the text. Some other sites fill up the page as soon as I open them. Can someone help?

Do you have "View" on top? Oh, so sorry, full view is F11 (not F9) - try that drop-down menu, maybe zoom?
No luck. F11 just made the toolbar at the top go away, and zoom just makes the test larger. Doesn't make the page fill up the screen . . .
What browser are you using?
With just your desktop open, right click and then click on "properties." Then click on the "settings" tab and play with the "screen resolution" tab until you get a full screen.
Using Explorer. Tried the screen resolution already. Some sites fill up the page; some don't. Fodors doesn't. Does everybody else have a full page width-wise for Fodors?
Try a lower screen resolution such as 800 x 600. Take a look at this link.

Yeah, on both my computers, the page fills the screen. Try your "help' menu, and when you get it right, be sure to save it, otherwise, next time you open, will go back to where you didn't want to be.
How about zooming to 125% with medium text size, it fills the screen for me.
