We stayed there in 2003 and had a blast - the Black Hole Drop was a trip highlight. We stopped by again in 2009 and were surprised by how upscale they'd made it; it looked more like a resort than a jungle lodge, though the setting was still stunning. We loved our accommodations and food - you can see photos at the link below and on the main page of each collection there are links to detailed travelogue and reviews. Happy trails!

great photos. thanks for sharing!
i appreciate your feedback. does ian anderson's caves branch lodge cater to families more or not necessarily? my boyfriend and i do not have children (yet) and while we don't dislike kids, we didn't want to pick a place that had many families. we'd be out of place
There was a mix when we were there - singles, couples, and us. Frankly, I wouldn't worry about that at all. Pretty much any place fun is going to have some families with kids. The level of adventure is pretty high there really young kids probably are more rare than in some spots.
