Does anyone know whether the Costa Rican National Parks issue weekly passes for a fee, and, if so, what the cost is?

I've read about one on another board called Amigos de los Parques, but don't know if it's legitimate or not. Park admission usually only runs around $10 or so. Most people just pay the entry fee.
Looks like it's $39 for a 14-day pass. They have a website if you'd like to explore it in more detail. I believe it also gives you a discount at some local businesses.
Pretty sure Amigos del Parque (https://secure.amigosdelosparques.org) is legit. The $39 14-day pass actually only gets you admission to 3 parks, as well as those discounts at participating businesses, and the satisfaction of knowing you also contributed to an organization working to preserve Costa Rica's parks and reserves...
