I may be visiting my daughter who is living in Xela and am interested in attending a Spanish language school for a week or so. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

I've studied in Antigua and head back year after to year to my favorite Spanish school on Lake Atitlán, and have visited Xela, but never studied there. I have some links to get you started, though. Hope you find just what you're looking for. Happy trails!
You can search for schools by country or city using
http://www.123teachme.com
but take the ratings with a grain of salt.
Specific to Guatemala, try
http://www.guatemala365.com
but keep in mind that they haven't added schools for many years so some terrific ones aren't listed.
Here is a link to information about that area: http://xelapages.com/
PS Thanks for the Guatemala post - seems like months since there's been 1 here!
Thank you! I will follow the links. I know that Antigua has many, but I want to combine it with a visit with mi hija.
I really like Quetzaltenango. I like Antigua too, but I think Xela gives you a more authentic vibe that Antigua just doesn't have.
