My husband and I (along with our 4 year old) will be spending 2 weeks exploring Panama in March/April 2013. We've planned out the start of the trip but need some advice on the end - and any thoughts on our itinerary are welcome too!
Arrive PC - 4 nights in Casa Antigua apartment in Casco Viejo
Drive to Boquete - 4 nights in Finca Lerida Hotel and Coffee Farm
Drive to Bocas del Toro - 3 nights in Bocas Town at Palma Royale
Drive to Pedasi area (with a night stay in Santiago to break up the drive - not sure where to stay - has anyone stayed at Hotel Mykonos?)
The next day we will head down to Pedasi for 2 or 3 nights and I'm trying to figure out where to stay. If we stay in Pedasi itself, I've looked at and like Casa de Campo - but I'm thinking we want to be on the beach - someplace with a pool, good food, a bit pampering for the end of our trip. We'll have rental car so can easily drive into Pedasi to explore/hang out. I've looked at the places around Playa Venao. I think Villa Camilla looks wonderful, but it may be a bit out of our price range. I've come across Playa Venao Hotel Resort, which looks nice, but I can find very little information on it online. Has anyone stayed there? We are also considering Villa Marina. I know the area is developing at a brisk pace, so if there are other places that I'm missing, I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance!! Jen

I have about an 11 page text of more info on Panama plus a website & blog. To answer your question, Casa Margarita in Pedasi is the best, then go 35k west to Playa Vaneo for a visit or night. Also La Sirenas Casitas "Moo Moo Cabins" will be going away after June for a new high rise resort/condo?:
