I am arriving on a flight 8 hours prior to the flight the rest of my group is coming in on. What would be the best place to wait for them within the airport and still have access to a bathroom?

It's not a very big airport - there aren't many options. You could look around, grab a bite to eat, find a chair to read in, then move to the arrivals area when their flight is due.
You could also consider hiring a trusted agency (or a random taxi driver if you're brave) to head to the center of town and check out the markets while you wait.
