Taxi SJO to Marriott San Jose Airport

We opted to have our rental car delivered to our hotel so on our night of arrival need to get to the hotel.
What is the cab system at SJO, please? Just jump in any cab, or do we book ahead, or is there a registered cab system where you pay at a booth first (as in Brazil?)
