Trying to plan a trip for two somewhat adventurous people who have never been to Costa Rica. Flying into SJ and spending one night and might have to spend one night for the return depending on the flight time.
Looking at the last week in May right now.
Would the Tree Houses Hotel be a good base for first timers? Would there be enough to see and do within an hours drive. There are only seven nights total for this trip. I don't want to try and cram too many stops in and be rushed or spend more time in the car driving than actually doing.
Should we add another destination? Monteverde?
Thanks!

Tree Houses gets good reviews, but I think it's fairly far from things. I think Monteverde would be a nice addition for a couple of nights.
