Have tried the TICA bus website with no links to where I can buy a ticket. Do I have to buy it in person? I will be arriving from Mexico city by bus into Tapachula and have no idea what time that will be. Are there buses leaving regularly or will I have to wait until the next morning? Please advise, as I will be traveling in December, which I understand is a peak month. Thankyou in advance for all your help.

Book the ticket with Tica by email Pay by cash when you arrive at the station in Tapachula Pesos, No checks or credit cards.
The station is the same one used by OCC bus, You will probably take ADO to Oaxaca and then OCC (ADO) to Tapachula
Leave Tapachula at 7:00 am, arrive at Guatemala at 12:00 noon.

Tapachula is a good sized city and will offer lodging and budget lodging if your bus connection doesn't work out
I am in Mexico now and tried the two Tapachula numbers for Tica. They are out of service. The recourse might be to message Tica.
