Where on the beach in mazatlan,mexico with a good pool for laps?

We are going to a convention in Mazatlan in March but the hotel is across the highway and not on the beach at Ave.del Mar #719, Mazatlan but we want to stay in a great beach hotel with a pool and possibly snorkeling. Thanks for any ideas.
