If you're thinking of going to the Galapogos. Do it, it is absolutely mind blowing. We had a wonderful time there. We travelled on the Beagle and the crew and guide were excellent.
,Shame I can't say the same for the agent that booked the trip. We booked on line and you will probably notice that they are at the top of the list when you search on google.
I wanted to include a dive and they promised me (both in person and via email) this could be arranged during the cruise. Once on board I checked with the captain and there is no way that it could fit with the itinery. The National Park have strict itineries where the boats are allowed and there was no possible cross over with a dive operator. The simple solution would have been to delay my flight by a few days. The problem was that when I asked to change my ticket at the end of the cruise they tried to charge a further $40 per person and denied my original request. I have the evidence. Galapogos.com are only interested in taking your money. Had they contacted the boat company and asked about my request before hand the option would have been offered in advance.
They were also $650 more expensive per person than other travellers that booked and paid on the same day. While I understand that this might have been my bad luck the real issue was the denial of my request and the complete lack of service. After the cruise I tried to contact them by email and they did not have the courtesy to even reply.
DO NOT USE THIS AGENT.
If you have time shop around in Quito and find an agent you can talk to.
