Will be in Bogota for a few days in January. Am a 60+ solo woman traveler. What is the best area for me to stay in? Is the financial district appropriate or dead at night?

Go a fair amount the ChapiNorte area around BOG where
I stay lots of action and safe unlike downtown.
www.booking.com will have all the options there free shuttles
The marriott.com and Sheraton spg.com are very nice
and safe. www.paisatours.com good city guides tour info.
The Dann Hotels are the local chain Estrellas also pretty nice,But the Marriott.com is the best plenty to do.Had a club floor suite free with credit card points when there last views food and ambience were wonderful. They had cute little yellow lab dogs in blue vests that matched their handlers sniffing folks at the entrance and wagging you in and out was pretty neat.Great security I thought.Downtown way dodgier but
cheaper travel.state.gov and insuremytrip.com wise down there
many issues including cocaine tourism still nice compared to
some downtowns I have been to like Caracas probably the worst
in SA.
Good luck!
Thank you for replying! Will check into a place in North Bogota..
