We're planning on entering Bolivia from Chile by air and will need to apply for our visas at the airport. I think we have everything we need: application form (printed out), hotel reservations, airline reservations out, yellow fever cards (original), credit card...
What will we need to have photocopies of (to leave with them)? Will they accept electronic itineraries/hotel/airline confirmation? Do we just need to show them physical yellow fever card and credit card? I'd rather not give them a copy of my credit card or bank statement. But don't want to be denied entry either.
Finally, how can we pay? Do they accept credit cards? Cash payment for a family of 4 is a lot of dollars to be carrying around.

El Alto(LPB) entry for me several years back they only took cash.Bank statement CC copy passport photos and hotel reservation copies for all nights was required.

I got mine ahead of time at the consulate in LA.
They wouldn't take cash, only a money order. I couldn't tell you what will happen at El Alto.
They only needed proof of the first nights hotel, as well they wanted to see the return ticket. They didn't care about the yellow fever nor an itinerary.
I just went through this process the other day. They didn't ask for a single thing except for a copy of my passport and 135 USD in cash. They were VERY picky about the bills, and rejected two of them because one had an ink stain and the other had a tiny tear in it. Make sure to bring crisp new bills if you pay cash.
I brought copies of everything else and had my yellow fever certificate with me, but they never asked to see anything.
