I don't believe there are any direct flights. We got the bus changing at the border @ Concordia for Salto and then to Montivideo. It was 12 hours overnight to Salto and around a further 5 hours on to Montevideo.sound a lot but door to door is probably about the same as flying via BA and a lot cheaper.
I'm sure the bus is cheaper! But at least it's a lot cheaper flying to Montevideo out of IGR than IGU.
Currently there is only one airline flying directly, BQB. It flies out of Punta del Este and back. www.flybqb.com Pretty cheap deals cos it's a new airline, the same company that owns the traditional ferries linking Buenos Aires to Uruguay
