I would love to recommend my forum friends that are planning to go to Uruguay to have the experiencie of going to a football match!! It was a great experience, uruguayans live football with lot of passion!!! I went with the only company that is dedicated exclusively to football tours in Uruguay; Fanáticos Fútbol Tours (www.futboltours.com.uy). If you are a football fan, its a must!!!

Uruguay, a tiny Nation of only 3 millon has been twice World Champion, and has won two olympic Gold Medals before 1930 when winning the Olympics was the supreme honor since there was no world cup.
Uruguayans love football although have not been able lately to fare as good as before,
During the last World Cup they had the honor that an Uruguayan player
Diego Florian was elected the best player of the whole tournament.
By all means I agree , if you visit Montevideo go to see a match at the Estadio
centenario where Uruguay beat Argentina in the Final of the 1930 World
cup.
Although this post looks like a company plug, the web link contains very useful information. The prices certainly seem cheap by international football standards. However, I assume bookings can't be made on-line. Is that correct?
