Morning! - I'll keep this short for now as its quite a long shot!...
I'm looking at getting out to Brazil and Peru in Sep/Oct for a couple of weeks, In particular i would like to visit Macchu Picchu, Lima, Rio & the falls & am considering the Inca Trail. Due to various reasons, excuses and commitments none of my mates are up for the trip.
Therefore, i am considering joining a tour group or 'expedition' type thing or going solo, however i'm sure that comes with its disadvantages. On the off chance, i thought that there may be other like minded people in a similar situation who may be up for either just exchanging advice, or possibly even working towards arrranging some sort of trip. (got to be better than going solo right!?)
My name is Paul by the way

I wouldn't worry about going solo to Peru, Paul. For your Inca Trail trip you have to go with a registered company and they will put a group together. Don't wait too long to book that. September is better than October, when the rains start.
thank you for your response.
Yeah, i checked the live availability for the trek and it seems ok at the min, i think that part of the trip was the bit id be least concerned with in terms of company. Is the weather noticeably different between sept/oct?
I think spending time in Rio in particular may get a bit tiresome going solo - specialy as i enjoy a drink or two!
Hi Paul,
There's no real difference in weather between September and October in the Cusco region. It's dry season so mornings and evenings are usually cool with strong sun and high temperatures in the middle of the day. (Don't forget your sunscreen!)

Regards,
Incorrect information from Louise. Heavy rains can start in October. Even her link says this!
