We normally do not buy trip insurance, and so far that's worked for us. But maybe it's time to rethink our approach. As divers, we are members of DAN, so we are covered for med evacuation and hyperbaric chambers if necessary. DAN just sent out a notice that they now have annual trip insurance through Travel Gaurd. We are going to be on lots of trips for the next year and thought it might be good to buy this instead of individually purchasing insurance for each trip. There are 3 tiers of coverage to pick from. After reading the fine print and getting a huge headache, I also looked at insuremytrip.com and got a bigger headache trying to figure it out. I also looked at several Fodors posts regarding travel insurance, but did not find any talking about annual versus individual policies (except for MedJet).
Has anyone used annual travel insurance or know anything about it? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
Any experience with annual trip insurance?
