Am planning a trip to Europe in 2014-- we will be staying in apartments throughout our trip and we are curious as to what the best websites for apartment rentals are?

Heard some horror stories about certain ones, so I am hoping for some advice from the experts

Althoough we haven't rented apts in Europe, at multiple locations in the US, we've had good luck using vrbo.

You will get more response if you post over on the Europe Forum. Plus there are many threads already there discussing/recommending specific sites/flats in most major European cities (and in many small towns too).

This is an excellent way to travel in Europe. Unlike the US, it is very common to stay in private homes/apt in Europe.

Where are you finding the apts? airbnb.com is a good site for apts.

I have about 10 general sites, but about 20-30 for apts in France and Italy. Where are you going?
