I'll be doing a few days of backpacking through Zion National Park and want to get some good star trail shots. Does anyone have a recommendation for an intervalometer? I am considering purchasing this one: http://www.dpreview.com/news/2013/02/28/Satechi-introduces-iOS-Bluetooth-4-Smart-Trigger-for-Canon-cameras since I'll already have my iPhone with me and won't need to space extra room for a separate remote.
Photographers! Intervalometer recommendations?

Star trail picutres are done by using the bulb mode in a camera set for a very long exposure (30 minutest or more). An intervalometer is used for time lapse photography. If your camera doesn't have bulb mode this won't help you at all. For star trails, you'll need a tripod anyway. Packing your camera remote should be nothing after packing that.
Check the maximum exposure time your camera's bulb mode has. Mine is only 8 minutes and not nearly long enough to capture star trails.
