help! i have a bout a week at the end of november to fly somewhere from miami. would look to keep the plaine ride short, so limiting options to carribean and central america.would love to be able to do things such as, biking, zipling, caveing - some, all, or other fun active stuff out there....in a safe fairly developed area. had considered costa rica or belize but now i am wondering if there are other alternatives as the flight times and prices i need are not aligning well
. that being said, i have never been anywhere in the central america / carribean area so am open to cool ideas!
trying to create a adventurous active trip

Not sure what "... as the flight times and prices i need are not aligning well" actually means. Can you tell us what flight times you actually need and give us your actual budget (in dollars)? How much time are you planning for this trip?
In the meantime, besides Costa Rica and Belize look at Mexico, Roatan or Puerto Rico - they have zip lining in those places. FYI - you can bike at almost every destination so I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor.
thanks for your reply. i will check out the places you mentioned. it is a bit of a convoluted situation with flights....have to fly out of florida but returning to washington, dc so no round trip pricing
and, i am planning to come back the weekend that is thanksgiving so the flights that were decent times have been super expensive.
budget is for two and trying to stay in the range of 2500-3000, to include flights and hotels and excurisions...and, since we are not locked into anywhere particular yet, we would rather spend less of airfare and more on adventures. not huge water people; would def like to be able to have a little beach time but thats about it. mostly interested in active excurisions where we can really experience the land.
I would go to the "mayan riviera" which is the Caribbean coast of Mexico. You'd fly into Cancun then could go down to Playa del Carmen area (about an hour south). Since you are on a budget you get a lot more bang for your buck in Mexico over the various Caribbean islands. Mayan Riviera offers ALL kinds of excursion possibilities, seeing ancient ruins, cenotes and caving, ziplines, etc.
