2nd time in AC in 6 months. Went to AC again, just because I was bored, it's a holiday, and wanted to give it another try after a not so pleasant experience 6 months ago.
I have to add 1TR every 6 months anyway.
I took the Academy bus from the PA(42st), long line, big mess, as always.
I left the line for the 10am bus, ate, and came back for the 11am bus.
A gaggle of 3 young people infront of me had 1 ticket, they argued with the bus
driver to let 'em board because they stood on line 1 hour... LOL!
I suggest Greyhound instead as it departs to/from AC every 15mins from more stops.
So the bus ride to Caesar's was real fast, 2hr15mins. I got my $25 bonus quickly,
found a slot, and cashed out at $7.50; However, last time I could not cash out my bonus.
Also, seems like Black Jack and Keno games were removed from the Game Master machines.
I did see BJ games for $1, but not for 0.50c. No Keno anywhere
I won $12 last time.
And just 3 video roulette machines.
The look and feel of AC has changed alot in 10 years; lots of hipsters and tourists eating outdoors, nice shops, less beggars, and the new mall was nice, but empty.
I wanted to check out the new Revel, and the Marina props but I did not make it as I wanted to leave at 5:30pm.
Thus, basically, the boardwalk is long, if you've never been to AC before, get there early morn, start off at Trump Plaza, walk up to Revel. Then, take the Jitney to Borgata. Dont go down to Tropicana nor to the Hilton(or whatever it's called now) as it's just not worthwhile. BTW, the Hilton is now a locals prop(whatever that implies).
For some reason the Claridge is still standing eventhough it's been closed many years.
I suggest to check out AC in the eve, but not after 9pm, as the freaks come out at night(as they do in Vegas, NYC, LA, Miami). Or you could do a 1 night stay.
My fave props in AC are Caesar's, Bally's, Taj, Borgata. Next, I am off to that new casino in Queens, in the next 6 months I am hoping to do either Vegas or Mohegan Sun as well.
