Hi. My wife and I will be visiting the states in February/March 2013. Part of our trip is staying 6 nights in New York, however, from NY we are catching a bus to Baltimore to do an overnighter to see Matchbox Twenty live in concert. Anyway, I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions of where to stay in Baltimore that is reasonably good eg 3 star but isn't overly expensive.
Many thanks
Gary

The Tremont Plaza seems to get mostly good reviews and you should be able to book it for less than $100 if you act soon.
Enjoy your concert at the Lyric Opera House.
You should spend a few hours in Baltimore the next morning before taking the train back to NYC.
The bus is not my favorite mode of transit between NYC and Washington.
Here is a very good option - walkable to both the Lyric Opera House and the Amtrak station. Quite nice and in a good (but not touristy) neighborhood.

Yes, to Tremont Plaza and Tremont Park (slightly less expensive). We have stayed at both.
Travelzoo.com has a deal now for $89 rooms at the Tremont Plaza. I have stayed there and really liked it, it's a very good value.
I'd opt for Amtrak, the train, and NOT the bus. Immeasurably more pleasant trip.
