Hello All-
Planning to go to Fairbanks and spend time in Chena Hot Springs area and Denali the first full week of July. Any suggestions on what not to miss? And what to avoid? We are outdoorsy people and fishing, short hikes,canoeing/kayaking, day trips are what we enjoy doing.
Thanks and can't wait for your input!

For me Chena Hot Springs is a winter trip.
I wouldn't be spending a lot of time there.
Plenty to see and do, they have a buy 2 get 3 days on the shuttle bus into the park. Discovery Hikes- for more adventure- fitness required. Rafting, hiking and more hiking.
Denali should be the focus.
Thanks for your replies. For Denali, & to avoid a lot of the congestion, would you recommend the Healy area above the park or the Talkeetna area below the park for lodging/activities?
